You may already know the story, but when I first arrived in Austin I had no idea what I was doing. It had been said to me enough times that I needed to go there, so I did. A few days before I showed up I landed a house sitting gig for singer-songwriter Alyse Black, and spent the next 1 1/2 months having it out with my demons behind closed doors. Oh boy, was that something. The first step to working through stuff is to get it out in the open and look at it, and who doesn't have stuff they'd rather not look at for as long as they live?
